The backstory behind Red Shadow is as fascinating as the character himself. Originally designed by artist Axel Gimenez in 2013 as one of five figures for the Masters of the Universe Classics line — alongside other fan-favorites including the Great Black Wizard — Red Shadow never made it into production during that era. Over a decade later, as one of three members-only figures created for the first year of Club Grayskull, Red Shadow finally gets his first-ever figure release in the Origins line. He-Ro and Sharella are his companions in this exclusive Powers of Grayskull inspired trio — making Red Shadow a key piece of a very special set of releases. 

Red Shadow is said to be able to communicate telepathically with the fauna of Preternia — an ability that reflects both his beast man origins and his unique bond with the natural world of the prehistoric era of Eternia. Despite being shunned by his own people and forced to serve the Great Black Wizard behind a mask, once freed by Moss Man, Red Shadow committed himself fully to fighting for King Grayskull — the mask remaining as a permanent reminder of his past and a symbol of his resilience.
