Collection: Matchbox

Matchbox has been making little cars since 1953 — the pocket-sized rival that taught Hot Wheels how to build a diecast empire. Collectors tend to prize its trucks and working vehicles as much as its cars, and this page runs across both, vintage and current.

You'll find vintage Lesney-era pieces from the late '70s and '80s — a 1978 Mercury, a 1981 Mountain Man pickup, a 1986 Jeep Cherokee service truck — alongside a 1992 Faun crane and current MBX releases like the Food Series and an Indiana Jones set. Castings and model years are named wherever they can be identified, and loose cars are photographed individually so paint, wheels and wear are visible before you buy.
